About our Winery & WinemakerTanis Vineyards is located in Amador County just below the Shenandoah Foothills. We are a very small, premium wine producer with a minimal production, which allows winemaker Andrew to lovingly tend his vines and wines to ensure optimum quality. To Andrew, winemaking is much more than a science; it is also an art. Come enjoy his wines and his company some weekend. You're sure to enjoy the conversation as much as the tasting!
From our LifeVines that endure harsh conditions produce exceptional wines, much as life’s hardships produce character and strength. Tanis Vineyards began as an intimidating patch of poison oak, yet through perseverance and hard work it is now a fruitful vineyard! Early on, Andrew lost his wedding ring in the vineyard while hand pressing grapes. The ring was never found. Our label art is a symbolic reminder that although in life there is loss, the important things endure forever: Faith, Hope and Love. Remain in the vine, and may your life be fruitful! MORE: |
